When we modify a MinimServer configuration we may have to restart MinimServer, but not always, MinimServer will inform us if we have to do a restart. If we do restart MinimServer it may take a while, the Status page will show a status of Started
until it has completed, then it will say Running
We may have to restart or refresh our Control Point as well because it will not automatically know the server contents has changed.
Also if we modify the audio files themselves then we need to Rescan the files with MinimServer, the Rescan option can be found on the Status page. If we have a large music library and have made many changes the rescan can take a while, longer than restart because it has to reread the metadata from every modified file, and every new file.
