SongKong comes with a powerful Delete Duplicates task that can identify duplicate songs in our music collection, tidying up our song library and freeing up space on our computer or device.
It is best to ensure we have run Fix Songs task before we run Delete Duplicates so that we get more accurate results because we can then make use of internal MusicBrainz Ids to ensure songs are from the same album or album group rather than just relying on textual metadata which maybe inaccurate.
Delete Duplicates has three tabs, Basic, Advanced and Save
Basic tab has options to determine how to find duplicates songs and what to do with the duplicates we want to remove.
Advanced tab has options to decide the file to keep and the file(s) to remove when we have a group of duplicates files
Save tab only has one option to rescan MinimServer, this is useful if we are using MinimServer
