Preferences don't save

I select Preferences, and then pulldown menu, and select a file mask. I then click ok.

But when I go back in, it hasn’t saved my selection, and it’s back to the original file mask.

How do I get a selection to stick?

Hi, you set the rename mask to use as part of the settings when you use Rename Files task Tutorial 22: Rename Files, Renaming

Preferences is used to manage rename masks, e.g delete, edit or create new masks but not for selecting a particular one to use in a task.
