Remote Correct tasks allows our song information to be corrected from online databases. Matching is always album based to ensure that the whole album is updated consistently not just individual songs.
Retrieve AcoustIds can be used to generate acoustids for every song. Autocorrect from MusicBrainz will also generate Acoustids if missing but only if deemed neccessary, using Retrieve Acoustids first can ensure all songs have an Acoustid but may be increase the total ttime taken.
Autocorrect from MusicBrainz, and Autocorrect from Discogs use our Albunack database to do comprehensive matches, this our own copy of the MusicBrainz, Discogs and Acoustid databases optimized for performance and better metadata.
Manual Correct from MusicBrainz presents possible matches in batches that we can then choose from.
Autocorrect from Bandcamp connects directly to the Bandcamp website for matching Bandcamp albums.
We can then update already matched songs with the latest metadata from the online databases using the Update Metadata from MusicBrainz, Update Metadata from Discogs and Update Metadata from Bandcamp tasks.
We can help improve the online databases, with the Submit AcoustId Pairs, Submit MusicBrainz Genres, Submit Barcode and Submit New Release tasks.
