MusicBrainz is an online database of information on more than ten million songs. This is a community based database so anybody can view, add or edit information in the database, but there is a system of moderation to ensure only correct information persists.
The information is of an extremely high quality and of exceptional detail.
MusicBrainz is the primary source of information Jaikoz uses to match your songs, matching against MusicBrainz means Jaikoz can fix the metadata in your songs but it also means your songs can then be used in many other MusicBrainz based applications.
For example you can also upload your song collection from Jaikoz to MusicBrainz and share the details with other MusicBrainz users.
