Hi paul, as it says in the title I am unable to update to the latest version of SK from QNAP although I’ve ran the whole process a few times and choose the latest from docker…The version shown in “about” keeps being SongKong 6.6.1 Red.
Any idea?
unable to update to latest on qnap
I have the latest version installed fine on my NAS
Please ensure you:
- Stop the Container
- Delete Container
- Delete Image
before you download new image
sorted! I wasn’t deleting the image file…
thx Paul!
The steps outlined by @paultaylor make sense but how do you ensure the configuration to Preferences and newly created Filename Masks are not lost?
Is there a way to export the configuration and reimport after upgrade to the SongKong docker version?
See step 10
You can optionally also configure a mapping to SongKongs config folder, this gives access to SongKongs preferences, logs and reports from outside the Docker but is not strictly required since these are accessible from within SongKong application itself
If /songkong is mapped to a real folder than the configuration is stored independently of songkong and is preserved when installing new versions.
thank you. I missed that part.
