So here we have another example of a regular album, SongKong tries to add in all the details but the process is not totally automated we need to check and possibly make some edits or searches.
Release Artist
The Artist field is greyed out, and even though a simple word the search finds no matches
So we need to add a new artist, select the Add a new artist item
I dont have much information about them but know they are a group and know th esort nameis same as name so we can add it that information
and enter Edit
Labels
We have to be careful about labels, here it says Timeless Records but it is not green because search shows there are actually multiple Timeless Records. Also note country of release is Germany, and their a Timesless abel based in Germany as well in the list
So which is the right one ? - having reviewed them all and looked at the labels, turns out Timeless is the right one
Release Duplicates
The Release Duplicates tab is greyed out so no potential duplicates found
TrackList
On the tracklist we may need to check case of titles, athough in this case they appear correct.
Recordings
If SongKong could match the tracks to existing recordings via AcoustIds they are linked here, but in this case new recordings need to be created for each track
Edit Note
The Edit Note summarizes the information to be added, and also highlights any issues that need addressing before it can be submitted
No problems here. Note that in the edit note we detail this is being added via SongKong. Also in this case the songs were orignally matched from Discogs so it automatically adds a Url relationship to the Bandcamp release.
Submit to MusicBrainz
So everything appears okay so lets submit the new release by selecting Enter Edit button
Once created it shows you the new release
Link New release to our songs
Go to report and select they folder we have just added and select Copy to copy the folder path
Paste Into Selected Folder field
Select Match to One Album, and start the task
It should bring back the new MusicBrainz release we added, if it does not then we can force retrieval by entering the url of the newly created MusicBrainz release in the Enter MusicBrainz or Url Discogs Url field
We can select and link to the new release so that your release is updated with the MusicBrainz identifiers.
