Strange error messages... SK not detecting albums it should.

Thanks for your help Paul. Created support files. Getting spotty results as the app will clean some albums with no problem and others (popular releases that should be no problem…) are having trouble. Getting the following error messages:

(Jul 21, 2018 10:24:34 PM:Database Error:File corrupted while reading record: “type: 137”. Possible solution: use the recovery tool; SQL statement: insert into Song (recNo, acoustic, acoustidFingerprint, acoustidId, album, albumArtist, albumArtistSort, albumArtists, albumArtistsSort, albumSort, amazonId, arranger, arrangerSort, artist, artistSort, artists, artistsSort, audioBitRate, audioBitsPerSample, audioEncoder, audioFormat, audioSampleRate, barcode, bpm, catalogNo, choir, choirSort, classicalCatalog, classicalNickname, comment, composer, composerSort, conductor, conductorSort…)

(Jul 21, 2018 10:24:36 PM:Unable to match group to MusicBrainz:F:\1689\2015 - To Pimp A Butterfly - (320 kbps):org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: could not extract ResultSet)

amongst others. Appreciate your help as always.

Looks like Database corruption

Please run File:Empty Database then restart SongKong that should fix it.

Seems to have done the trick! Thank you!

Dear Paul

I noticed that an album A Lady of Sadness is not being matched by SK. The exact album is there on Musicbrainz with the exact same cover art and order of songs.

Am unable to upload the cover art, tried couple of times

Please

  • Set Preferences debug to CONFIG
  • Rerun SongKong against just that folder
  • Send me new support files

and I should be able to tell why it could not match

(There is an issue with forum preventing uploading of screenshots that can only be resolved by moving to new forum software)

Matched this time! Dont know how!! (Much like when you go to the expert, the problem disappears!!!)

So we are sorted for this one. Will update if there is an issue with any other.

Many thanks as always…

I figured out what is happening.

When I converted from .cue format (using cue tools) to the normal wav format and saved in the same folder, there was one extra file, with the same name as the first track in the folder. Perhaps that didnt allow a match.

When I have saved it in a different folder, only the individual tracks and jpg files move and the original compiled file and the .cue files dont move. That eliminates the confusion and allows a match.

However I tried one Harry Belafonte’s release - “Belafonte returns to Carnegie Hall” it is not matching correctly. This is the 18 song version - (limited edition, remastered special edition). And leaves behind some 5 songs unmatched when they are available in exactly the same order on musicbrainz.

Any thoughts?

HI, it because you have set Only allow match if all songs in grouping match to one album to No so this allows SongKong to use partial matches if It cant find a complete match at early stage. This shoud usually be set to Yes and forces SongKong to only allow match if all in grouping match, otherwise just do a song only match.

Tried. No luck. Baffling!

Did you retry on a backup or are you trying against a set of files that have already been split up ?

On split files

Yes, looking at your support files I dont think yo have reset the files.

I should split them again and try?

Sorry I thought you didnt have the complete album in one folder but you do. Okay I think I have found the problem I think the track length of Track 5 Vaichazkem is too different to what MusicBrainz has.

MusicBrainz has a duration of 1.34, I dont know what you have but I guess the difference is more than 10 seconds, this can prevent match.
