Sonkong (and Jaikoz) hallucinating artists

In attempting to tag [https://musicbrainz.org/release/177b1c29-b1bd-499d-9690-621a7b939a76](http://Murray Perahia, 25th anniverary edition), I find that both Songkong and jaikox attempt to insert a mysterious Choir and artist contribution to two of the tracks on the release (nos 21 and 25 with zero-offset numbering.) These two tracks are both solo piano, yer SK and JK both insist on adding the “Tambov Chamber Choir” to the “artist” and “choir” fields.

Is there some bad data in Albunack? Looking at the editing history for these MB recordings, this is not a case of Albunack merely being out of date. I could find no suggestion that there was ever such a credit.

Please will you take a look at this.

Hi, this release is not in Albunack yet, it is getting the release from MusicBrainz and it looks like there is a bad edit in MusicBrainz.

If you look at the artist credit in SongKong it is for Tambov Chamber Choir “Sergei Rachmaninov”

If you link through to the MB Artist Id you see the track artist Sergei Rachmaninov is only credited for track 21 of the release

and if you link to the underlying artist we see it is *Камерный хор им. С.В. Рахманинова ( Tambov Chamber Choir “Sergei Rachmaninov”)

rather than the expected Sergei Rachmaninoff , Russian composer, and since you have Use standard Artist name instead of name displayed on cover enabled that is what is used.

So the solution is to edit the MusicBrainz release and set the track artist correctly for track 21. Since SongKong is getting the release directly from MusicBrainz rather than Albunack if you empty the cache after the edit has been applied in MusicBrainz SongKong should pick up the modification.

Aha. Thank you for spotting this. I was focussing on the recording credits and had neglected to look at the track artist. MB editing is full of pitfalls.
