SongKong and HiDPI displays

First, I want to thank you for making this program cross platform providing Linux users the ability to use your applications… Even if it means using slowwwwwwww and buggy java.

The problem I am having and frankly the one that is stopping me from paying is the fact that SongKong (and I will also assume Jaikox) are not scaling on Linux (Cannot confirm Windows as I don’t use it). I have a Dell XPS 13 with a 3200x1800 display and well… Let’s just say that the window is almost unreadable.

This is not a problem isolated to your applications. It appears that most Java apps have a similar problem but can be corrected (although, not being a coder, I cannot figure out where).

Hi Tony

Thankyou for alerting me to the issue on linux, I am aware of an issue with Hi-res displays on Macs but did not realize there was such an issue with linux I will look into that, and it wil need a coding change. I guess they only way for you to can work round the issue for now would be to temporarily reduce the resolution of your screen when using SongKong which clearly is not ideal.

Could you possibly email support@jthink.net a screenshot so I can see the problem

Ive raised some issues to sort this out, any customers using SongKong on hi-res Windows or Mac screen and if so is it working for you ?

Were you able to get this fixed on Linux?

No, sorry not yet.

I know the ignore system dpi option you had me change try was deprecated in java version 7 with no replacement… I was hoping.

According to the docs JRE9 has full HiDPI support have you tried moving to 9 yet?

I didnt realize that, right not yet but I intend to.
