SongKong 12.7 - Missing COVERARTPREVIEW table in H2 database

Hi,

I am using SongKong 12.7 Isles (Premium) on Windows 11.

When trying to run a SongKong metadata preview/fix operation, SongKong starts but the operation fails before processing any songs.

The error indicates that the internal H2 database is missing the required COVERARTPREVIEW table.

The existing SongKong database is approximately 4.23 GiB, so it does not appear to be an uninitialized database.

No music files were modified.

I have already made a complete backup of the SongKong database before attempting any repair.

Could you please confirm whether using:

Create Support Files → Empty Database → restart SongKong

is the correct recovery procedure for this issue?

Thank you.

Hi, yes that is correct.

Thanks for support files, now you have emptied database okay is it working okay or not ?

Also, I note you are using 11.7 your license permits you to use latest SongKong version so please update.

Also, apologies I see you are using Chinese translation, this is rather incomplete at the moment but it is planned to complete it soon, see https://jthink.atlassian.net/browse/SONGKONG-2959

Thank you for your help. Yes, I have now emptied and rebuilt the database successfully, and SongKong is running normally again.

Regarding the version, I am actually using SongKong 12.7 Isles (Premium), not 11.7. The application title bar shows “SongKong v12.7 Isles (Premium).”

Thank you also for the information about the Chinese translation. I understand that it is still being improved, and I’ll refer to SONGKONG-2959 for updates.

Thanks again for your assistance.

I’m actually running SongKong 12.7 Isles, Build 1201, dated 22/Jul/2026. I have confirmed this in Help → About SongKong.

Sorry i must have been looking at an old report
