We are pleased to announce the release of SongKong 12.2 Introspective
Performance Improvements
The report generation section of tasks has been carefully analysed and now substantial improvements made to performance by improving efficiency of the code, improving parallelism to make better use of available cpus, removing I/O contention when writng files and increasing the database cache.
These improvements mean that report generation should now be significantly quicker than before
The Rename Files task has been rewritten to a simpler more scalalble algorithm so this will also run quicker with less chance of duplicate filename collisions.
Classical Improvements
For Classical users we have added a new Opera/Work format option for use with Lyrion Music Server and also added a Lyrion profile for Fix Songs
We have made a number of fixes and improvements to improve identifcation of works and composers.
SongKong Icon
The SongKong Icon has had a refresh, so it is neater and sharper, with a slightly different version for MacOS platforms.
