Problems with updating SongKong

I have used SongKong for a while and always updated to the current version. However the recent update is not installing - it comes with an error message saying it can’t find main.msi.

I have tried uninstalling my current version, but this doesn’t work either for the same reason.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I should do?

Many thanks

Robert

Ben having problems recently with some antivirus software incorrectly flagging false positives for the software, problem software seems to be BitDefender and Malwarebytes, are you using either of these ?

Thanks for prompt reply.

I am using BitDefender. Should I disable it temporarily, or replace it?

Robert

Disable it to allow install very frustrating, this seems to happen with every recent release.

Sorry this doesn’t work.

I have uninstalled BitDefender, but I still have problems updating. I’ve just spotted a message which says that installation package cannot install the new version as it is unable to uninstall the old version. I have tried to uninstall via Windows, and it is this that says it cannot find " main.msi" . It is looking in C:\Users\rxmat\AppData\Local\Temp\1711791453.tmp\ but is asking me to browse to the location where main.msi is.
I cannot understand why a critical file should be in a Temp folder - perhaps this is the problem?
Thanks for the help so far.
Regards
Robert

This is all related to BitDefender I think, but there is no need to uninstall SongKong in order to install new version.
