Wouldn’t think so, can you try in preview to see if that does work ok.
Memory issue cancelled fixing songs (java heap space)
Yessir. That’s what I’m doing. Started 15 minutes ago and it’s already completed 8700 songs.
What model is this hard drive?
Western Digital. I’ve had it two years or so.
What is the model number?
“My Passport UItra for Mac” is the model name.
I ran Fix Songs in Preview mode and it went quickly.

Going to try running it again with Preview unchecked. Just not sure which option to choose for “songs already fully matched”. Trying with “update metadata only” first.
That option fine, but defaults should be fine also. I don’t know why it is running so slow.
It’s going much faster now. 3000 songs in the first 3 minutes, so that’s good!
44,000 songs in half an hour! Now it’s going so fast I’m worried I did something wrong. Haha!
Oh, I also said to ignore songs that were already matched.
Well not many songs were already matched originally, unless lots were matched during the attempt you aborted. When this finishes please run Create Support Files again so I can check situation.
Will do, Paul. Thank you so much for the amazing customer support!

That is very low match rate I think you must have disabled something, please show options page
It doesnt quite make sense, but I think you should disable the Ignore songs previously checked that could not be matched option and rerun
Stick with Update metadata only?
yes that is ok to stay the same
So it’s going slower but not crazy slow: about 1800 songs in 10 minutes. That’s about 10,000 songs/hour. Keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t stall in the next 11 hours.
Okay so there is a bug here actually, the Ignore songs previously checked that could not be matched option checks to see if the SongKongId field has already been added, if it has but no MusicBrainz match then it assumes already ran Fix Songs but failed to find match. However, it turns out that Rename Files will also add this field, so all your songs already have this field even before we successfully ran Fix Songs so they are being skipped over. This is a bug and I will raised an issue for it.
I see FixSongsReport0010 when you ran in Preview mode gave 80% match to MusicBrainz,

So now we have correct options the Fix Songs you are currently running should give very similar results.
