Recently when trying to tag box sets I am getting alot of errors of this type:
Unable to match group to MusicBrainz:W:\Classical Box Sets\Antal Dorati - A Celebration:java.nio.channels.ClosedChannelException
Unable to match group to MusicBrainz:W:\Classical Box Sets\Arthur Grumiaux Complete Philips Recordings:java.nio.channels.ClosedChannelException
Don’t understand these errors as this album and many others I have tried to tag are indeed in Musicbrainz.
What should I do to fix this?
This usually indicates timeout, checking a potential boxset to see if it is a valid match can be expotentially longer than usual album matches e.g 10 songs vs 10 tracks gives 100 combinations, 100 songs vs 100 tracks gives 10,000 combinations. The algorithm is optimized to prevent this but maybe hasnt coped with these partivcular cases, please run Create Support Files
Also,there was temporary issue with server that is now resolved, possibly that wa cause of issue so perhaps have another go now.
Paul, another box set question.
I have the following box set, which complete tags are listed on musicbrainz:
#Remastered: The Complete Columbia Album Collection
I tried tagging this box sets, but the tags consisted primarily of the individual Glenn Gould albums.
How do I force songkong to use the tags for the box set instead of the individual albums?
Ensure folder structure is of form:
BoxSetName
BoxSetName/Disc 1
BoxSetname/Disc 2
Use Metagrater task to remove incorrect metadata fields
Paul can you use:
Disc 01 rather than Disc 1
Can you used CD1 rather than Disc 1?
Yes, the key thing is just that folders representing each disc reside underneath an overall album folder.
