Okay, I wasnt aware that was possible in Apple Music, I’ll take a further look.

thanks again and a lot for taking time to that problem/function!

I just looked at that screenshot why does it say album is bautz dreizehn when all the songs have a different value for album field ?

because the name of the playlist in apple music is called “bautz dreizehn”. it`s not an album, but a playlist.

I thought you created a custom album and used it as a playlist. If it is actually a playlist then it makes sense that Songkong does not update the playlist cover since SongKong does not do anything with playlists.

yes. i created a custom mix album.
imported it to apple music.
then i created a playlist out of that imported cd, in order to keep all songs in it‘s right place.
then i copied all tracks and put them in songkong.
songkong recognized most of the songs (and thumbnail covers), but not the album covers.
why does it matter where the song is in apple music?
i want to put one song in songkong and let songkong find the cover to this song, whether it is in an album or in a playlist or just in the list of songs….

It is a very wierd way of doing things to be honest because you are asking SongKong to match songs with invalid metadata telling SongKong they are part of a particular album when in fact there is not actually a real album that exists with this name and this causes problems with matching, however it did find matches for most songs.

However, the main issue is you asking why it hasnt set the Apple Music playlist cover. That is simply because SongKong deals with aufio files not playlists so if you want a cover for your Apple playlist (rather tha your album) you need to set it yorself within Apple Music

ok thanks! that is how i do it the last years…i thought that songkong maybe can save me some time :-))

but one last comment….in an earlier version of songkong it worked.
songkong puts in the covers in the right place (years ago).
but maybe apple changed a lot going from itunes to apple music?!

Hmm, I dont think you are getting my point or Im not getting yours. You want SongKong to add a cover for a playlist (not an album) and SongKong has never done that.

no worries!
i just thought that songkong can get the cover for one seperate song. no matter where the file is displayed.
if i put the song in songkong out of the music library (not from the playlist)…it‘s not getting the cover, too.
