Connection to MusicBrainz server timing out

I am getting timeouts to the MusicBrainz server on both my Ubuntu server and my MBP and jobs are failing. This has been going on for a few days although I was able to process a couple of jobs in between so it doesn’t look like an IP ban or anything. I have posted on the MusicBrainz forum too in case it is unrelated to the SongKong implementation.

Issue resolved. Snort had seen some suspicious traffic to/from the MusicBrainz server and had added the IP address to its blacklist. One of the SongKong IP addresses also made it to the list, I was not able to upload support files or perform a license check either. I turned snort off for the moment as I don’t have time to troubleshoot.

Thanks for letting us know, actually SongKong doesnt actually contact MusicBrainz (or Discogs) - it uses my own Albunack database, this contains an index of MusicBrainz and Discogs albums optimized for use with SongKong (and Jaikoz)

It does however contact the Acoustid and AcousticBrainz servers directly.
