Can't for the life of me figure out why match is to songs only?

Hi-

I’ve matched all the discs in this 5 disc album (Ravel, Debussy, Boulez) to a single Musicbrainz compilation release, and as far as I can tell it’s been done correctly (all shows as green, no “without full match” showing). But if I try to fix songs, 12 go to the release, but 58 say “song only”. How do I force them to all go to the release, so when I rename 58 of th 70 songs don’t go to the wrong folder? I feel like I’m doing all the things right - match to one album, ensuring the songs are in the right order, etc etc. But fix songs doesn’t seem to work, even though status report says they’re all matched to the same album. Huh?

Support files uploaded.

Thanks.

The inconsistency is similar to the other issue, SongKong is unable to match 4 discs to the album it can only match them song only, they are all shows as Matched to Release because they all have a MB Release Id field even though they do not not have a MB Track Id, were they previously matched with MusicBrainz Picard ?

Anyway, I think the issue is that it is failing to match them to a release because you have all discs in one folder instead of in sub folders and that in conjunction with having multiple files with very similar names is failing to find match.

But also you have set For Songs Already matched to Rematch, if you set it back to Update Metadata Only there maybe enough info from the other tool used to allow SongKong to recognize the existing match and simply fill in the Mb Track Id, I’m not sure.

If not, putting each disc into own disc folder and then retrying is likely to work, and if it doesnt logs should tell us why.
