I am at work and many of our connections are blocked. However a coworker has a proxy that I can use for those applications that allow me to set preferences for a proxy.
However, I also found a program called ProxyCap which allows me to redirect the connections from a program to a proxy.
(works great to play World of Warcraft at work).
However, I don’t think the jaikoz.exe is the process making the connection to MusicIP Server as I still get the message “Outbound connection to MusicIP Server on Port 10001 appears to be closed, this will cause Retrieve Acoustic IDs to run very slowly, please check your firewall.”
Since it is a Java program, is it some sort of java process making the connection? If so, since we use Java for some of our internal tools, I don’t think I can/should redirect java to the ProxyCap.
