wav file support and exporting

Hello,

Im working with Wav files and I know they dont support id3 tags, but I dont need to tag the files themselves, rather I just need to export a report to text file that has the song metada. For example I have wav files 001.wav 002.wav 003.wav etc and I want to end up with an export .txt that has the following (as an example).

001.wav,shakira,Hips dont lie,E2323
002.wav,Enrique Inglesias,fireball,E34234

The last field here would be the musicbrainz ID for the track.

Would this be possible with Jaikoz?

Hi, unfortunately Jaikoz doesnt currently support Wav files but this is because I didnt have a clear way to write metadata to them, but the underlying tag reading library can in fact read them so it would not be difficult to add read support.

If this was added then you could indeed export the metadata from all the columns using Advanced:Export. You cannot actually select the fields to export, all fields are exported, but once you have the csv file you could easily load into a spreadsheet to remove the columns you don’t want.

Wav support now availble in Jaikoz 8.4.0 Beta http://www.jthink.net/jaikozforum/posts/list/15247.page
