Want to increase the amount memory available to Jaikoz

It has been a couple of years since I opened the software.

I think I know the line in Info.plist:

-Xms150m -Xmx800m -XX:MaxPermSize=200m

But how much can I add?
I have a 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core with 16 GB MHz DDR3.

I don’t get a chance to work on my collection very often. Is there some good hearted soul who would take cash money to help me setup Jaikoz and my library of 125k tunes? And yeah that is discounting a lot of dups.

Try changing to:

But to be honest regardless of how much memory you give Jaikoz some parts do not work as well when you run with huge amounts of files, so even with a load of memory I would restrict to loading 30,000 files at a time.

Thanks Paul,
That makes sense but the last time I did attempted a more modest number of files I had trouble ending up with a lot of dups. It was nearly two years ago. Maybe thing have changed within the software or more likely I just need to read more.
Thanks for your time,
Bill

Hi Paul

Is this still the way to increase memory? For the last 2 or 3 upgrade versions I don’t seem to have that string in Info.plist anymore, and loading my files is a complete pain.

Cheers, Per.
