Vista network connection goes dead while doing mass edits

I have a 20.000 files collection stored on a Linux server and use Jaikoz 2.8.1 on Vista 64 (via Samba on Linux) to edit it. Recently, I started some major updates which sometimes involve a couple of thousand edits in several chunks.

Sometimes while editing or while saving the edits, the network interface on Vista goes dead, i.e. no packets are being forwarded. Disabling and enabling the interface makes it work again. I’m at Vista SP1 with all available patches applied.

I’m not absolutely sure, but I can’t recall having seen that before Jaikoz 2.8.

My questions:
a) Is this something that can be related to Jaikoz?
b) What trace information might be useful should I run into the same situation again?

Hi, sounds like a general networking issue to me not really Jaikoz related. BTW I assume you know you can run Jaikoz directly on the Linux server, you would certainly getter performance if you did it this way.
