Updating only the year

Hi,

I’m evaluating Jaikoz to manage my mp3 meta information. So far, it looks like a powerful tool (although some commands aren’t very intuitive and I had to consult the manual).

What I would like to do is for some file to correct only the year. For example I have the album ‘ABBA - Number Ones’. Autocorrect updates all fields correctly, and sets the year to 2006 as that was the year of the record. However, I would like to have the original year to be able to use my I-tunes auto-playlists for 80’s, 90’s etc.

So I want to do a second manual correct and select the original albums (by the way, I like the ‘autoselect oldest album’ feature request from another thread). Then, I would like it to update only the yearfield. But it always corrects all the fields. How do I do this?

Similarly, sometimes I want autocorrect to only update 1 column. In the autocorrect action settings, I’ve removed all actions but the 1 for the column I want to update, but it still updates all of them.

When updating from MusicBrainz the AutoFormat tab in the MB settings let you define which fields to overwrite or whether to overwrite only when empty.

Things like the Year Correcter will only replace the Year, but the Correct from Musicbrainz will update the columns specified in its format tab as explained above.
