Thanks Paul, this did work. ( for awhile ) After removing the folder as suggested, updating the license from an original license file from a couple years ago, and spent time to reset the preferences / settings. It appeared to be working.
However …
I then I went to my computer, Mac2, and repeated your process.
I grabbed the same original license file and applied it to Mac2. I exited Jaikox, and restarted it up. No problems yet.
It gave me a warning about too many computers. I ignored it since I only have 2 computers, and repeated the process of resetting the preferences / settings, and quit Jaikoz.
I thought everything was fine.
I went back to Mac1, to try changing a few songs with the new settings I had just done. It complained about too many computers, and immediately popped up the "Unexpected Problem … " again. I repeated the process all over again, thinking I may have missed something. This 3rd time on repeating the process on Mac1, it allowed me reapply the license, edit only 3 or 4 of the settings [appearance, preferred country to add the US, UK, ID3 tags]. I quit jaikoz, and restarted it. It complained again I had too many computers, and put it into view only mode. In frustration, I exited jaikoz.
I went back to Mac2, to see what I could do. Upon start up, it went immediately to the original Unexpected Problem popup.
[ I think you may have to reset something, and send me a new license file, so I can start over with just 2 computers]
Is there a connection with editing the settings and the license file?
It would be nice to save the “settings” file, so as to not have to redo that task.
At this point, I am not sure editing the settings was part of the Unexpected Problem error or maybe due to re-using the licences file.
