Two source directories into one

Hi,
I am using iTunes and have noticed it is using two source directories. Somehow when they changed from iTunes Music to iTunes Media I ended up with two directories. That or moving the library around or just tinkering has got me to where I am. I want to get back to a single source directory for all my music and hope to use Jaikoz to help. Because I have 1,121 folders in one directory and 1,208 in another I have my work cut out. Also, I know some tracks are on different bit rates. This is because I used iTunes to up all my old low bite rate tracks to 320 by using iMatch (oh dear  ).

To my simple mind, I want to do something like the following:

Compare dir A with B
Where the same song/different album = keep (comp, live, greatest etc)
Where the same song/same album = check bit rate
Where higher bit rate = keep
Where lower bit rate = delete

I don’t necessarily want to do this at the push of a button, rather, with a visual check as well. It’ll still be easier than comparing in explorer

Anyway…any suggestions would be most welcome

Hi, this should be easy to do:

Set Preferences:Local Correct:Delete Duplicates:Song Is a Duplicate Id to It has the same Mbid and Release id as another Song

Run Action:Delete Duplicates

Double check the songs marked for deletion and if happy with results Save Changes
