trying to figure out a better way to organize my mp3s

most tools that I have examined have not resulted in organizing my music the way I prefer. It may be that my ideas are just too messed up.
I mean, some are right - if an artist releases a single, or an album, I would like those stored as
main artist/album/{track #} title
however, if a compilation - best of, movie sound track, etc. - is released,
I would like it stored together:
compilations/album/{compilation track #} title

In cases where an artist or band has a guest featured on the track, I would prefer that info NOT be stored in artist, but in some other attribute - ideally, called featured, but if not, then in comments.

and, I would love to add the lyrics to songs to which I listen a lot.

The problem is with the compilations as well as the featured info.

Is there a way for jaikoz to do this sort of thing?
And has anyone developed a series of videos or step by step tutorials on how to use jaikoz without destroying the tracks?

Thanks!

Yes you can certainly do that in Jaikoz, that is why we have two rename masks, one for non-compilations and one for compilations. And the mask can be fully modified using Javascript expressions, see Preferences:File and Folder Correct:Rename File from Metadata and Preferences:File and Folder Correct:Rename Folder from Metadata

Featured artists are usually stored in the artist credit field in MusicBrainz and hence to get added to the artist field, but they also get added seperately to an artists so by copying the first value of the artists field into the artist field you can remove the featured artist from the artist field, if you want to keep it somewhere that is a bit more tricky and I do not have a good answer for you.

That feature is not currently available in Jaikoz

I’m afraid Jaikoz is currently lacking some video tutorials. But what I say is Jaikoz does not make any changes to songs as you go along (Except for adding an acoustid which is never incorrect, and auto saving for this can be disabled if required in Prefeences:Musicbrainz:Acoustid:Save Acoustids as Retrieved). So until you select Save no changes have been made to your files.
