Track Number Offset

Apologies if you can already do this with Jaikoz and I’ve missed the option…

Basically, for a program I have written, I need to put all the tracks of an album in a single folder.

This is fine for single albums, but when there are 2, 3 or more CDs, you end up with 2, 3 or more tracks all with the same track number in the ID3 tag.

What I need is for the tracks on CD1 to be numbered say 1 to 20 and the tracks on CD2 to be numbered 21 to whatever… and so on.

Any chance of an option to set a ID3 track tag numbering offset option (or start value) please?

Then, when doing that second CD, I could set the offset (or start number) to 21 instead of 1?

I know I can manually add ‘x’ to the track numbers column for each MP3, but with some albums with more than 4 CDs, it gets a little time consuming.

Cheers…

Barrie

Update:

As with the other post, this one too is not so urgent now as I’ve added a ‘ID3 Track Renumber With Offset’ option to my own program FileTidy.

Would still be a nice option to have in Jaikoz though…

Select all the fields for the release in the Track No column and then select Edit/Renumber Track Nos this will change the track nos in order 01,02…

But its worth noting normally you would make use of the Disc No column rather than having tracknos traverse discs.
