Also, is Jaikos creating an audio fingerprint and comparing it to both of them? or just using the files current metadata to try and guess?
The Difference between Music IP ID and MB unique ID?
Music IP id is aasinged to PUID in MB database. if Music IP = PUID then infos about track are fetched.
Jaikoz makes an audio fingerprint of a track by analysing it and then lookups that audio fingerprint to see if it is known to MusicIP, if it is MusicIP returns a
Puid.
If the Puid is also known to track(s) in Musicbrainz then it can be used to help identify the correct track in Musicbrainz, if it isnt known in Musicbrainz then it cannot be used and only existing metadata can be used.
It is helpful to Jaikoz if a track has both a Puid known to Musicbrainz and metadata because although a Puid is accurate at identifying a correct track (piece of music) most tracks appear on more than one album at some point and getting the correct album is made easier if there is some existing metadata to match.
Ah I see, so I could just remove all the local correction steps from the automatic correction, or move them up the list to happen before get acoustic ID and musicbrainz corrections?
I think youve replied to the wrong post, but whilst moving local corrections weill affect results its not critical so I wouldnt concern myself with it too much at the moment.
