Strategy for mismatched albums

I have a database of 93195 songs that have been effed up by Bliss, TuneUp, and a number of other programs. I’m not proud. It’s out of control. Yeah, I know I should have a backup, and I do of the really good stuff, but I also have a bunch of music that’s been added over the years that’s not backed up that I don’t necessarily listen to very often.

My problem is that the music, through the years, has been mismatched to the wrong albums to where I now have a bunch of partial albums. I am just finishing up running SongKong with “rematch” enabled and am I’m thinking of employing the following strategy:

  1. Use MP3Tag to create a directory structure like: /music/{artist}/{album}-{disc}-{track}-{name}

  2. Set SongKong options to “Only allow match if all tracks in album were matched” enabled and run on it on directory in 1. above.

The thought here is that SongKong will hopefully try to assemble meaningful full albums from the songs available from each artist. I realize this won’t be perfect and that some of the albums will still be partials, but hopefully many of them will be complete, full albums.

Anyone have any suggestions?
