Do you have any suggested workflow for using these two ?

I have a separate library for the sonos as it doesn’t do any real duplicate detection. ie if i had a flac in a directory and an aac in itunes it apparently randomly picks one - not really very good !

Hence i have two separate libraries. Each have about 7k files in.

Is it possible to load up both libraries, compare for dupes and then copy in the correct format from itunes to the sonos directory ?

Yes no problem but Jaikoz find duplicates by Musicbrainz Id and or Acoustic Id so you need to have done the appropriate matching first before running Delete Duplicates.

What do you mean by the [b]correct format/b] ?

Sorry by format was meaning directory structure.

So I open up sonos root dir, then the iTunes ones.

Match then files t get ids, run delete dupes and then do save as copy back to the sonos directory ?

You can specify a mask to use to rename folders and files in Jaikoz. There are also Save and Copy and Save and Move tasks so see no reason you cant do what you want.

Thanks, are the musicbrainz unique id’s saved at all to save time upon a recheck ?

Yes , they are saved in the files themselves in the Musicbrainz Unique Id field
