Songs with existing AcustiIDs not being matched

Hello,

I have several thousand files that were originally WAV files extracted from actual CDs. They have no metadata associated with them.

Since Jaikoz doesnt support writting to wav files yet (or reading wav files for that matter) I converted the files to m4a files. I tried to have Jaikoz look up the files but no luck. When I run the files via Picard it looks up the songs just fine, but that program doesnt let me export the database (which is why i bought Jaikoz).

When I look at the files I do see the AcustiIDs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ih2tf2gdljcuhkz/Screenshot%202015-06-24%2015.41.55.png?dl=0

And it matches the id on musicbrainz
https://musicbrainz.org/recording/f30b52f7-c92c-4ad6-982e-67b105b1aab1/fingerprints

But it doesnt fill out the rest of the metadata.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Ok found the issue… under preferences, remove correct, match there is a checkmark by default on “only allow match if all songs in grouping match to one album”. Which I guess mine didnt and so they werent.

Now just waiting for wav support (reading the files is enough for me!) and this will be absolutely perfect. THank you for the great software!

Yeah that option is enabled by default because if you already have your folders sorted one folder per album (as many do) it prevents Jaikoz breaking them up which it could do if could only match some of the songs and you also had it configured to rename based on metadata

Makes sense and that will work for the vast majority of users, I’m on a weird situation with these wav files and the external database.

Everything is working as intended now and I plan to run my full music database over night. Hey on that note, is there a limit on the accusticID/musicbrainz API that I will hit (based on my IP hammering their service)?

If so, are you taking that into account so it waits until the limit is passed? I have several thousand files to go though, want to make sure I go through them all even if that means taking it slow… I only have to do this once after all.

No there is no max limit for Acoustid and no limit for Musicbrainz/Discogs because Jaikoz actually has its own dedicated combined MusicBrainz/Discogs server which gives much faster access then is available through the native apis, you can view much of the data via http://albunack.net
