Hi, got it now.
Ive been logging at /Volumes/iTunes Drive/iTunes/Music/The Muppets/The Muppets (Original Soundtrack)
So SongKong trys to match all songs in a group (i.e folder) to a single album. With default options if it cannot match all it will not update the album data to prevent albums being broken up. But it does also do song only matching and if it can identify some of the songs but not just the same album it wil update with song only information.
i.e it will update the trackartist, but not the albumartist or album so it will not cause the album to be broken up.
Now Looking at your Muppets album it could not match to an album but it could match most of the songs as SongOnly. It hasn’t moved any songs itself, but perhaps for some reason iTunes has moved the songs based on different metadata.
The changes it has made should not cause iTunes to split the album but perhaps there is an issue that I’m not aware of, as you can see in the second screenshot for some songs the album artist hasn’t been changed but the track artist has.
Could you please:
- Check have any of the songs in this album actually been moved within the iTunes folder
- In what way have they been split, which songs have been split
