Any reason that SK cannot be updateable from within the app as per most apps?

SongKong missing an update mechanism
The trouble is that although the codebase is 99% the same for all platforms the way we install SongKong on different platforms is very different because we need to use installers that are appropriate for the different platforms. So it would be alot of work for not much gain, and I am not sure it is even possible to build updaters for some platforms, we do have an old issue already open in the issue tracker for this but it is not something being worked on at the moment.
