This release focuses on improvement to the Inconsistencies section of the report plus we have an important improvement to Fix Songs
New Option Added to For songs already fully matched
We have added a new default for this option of Rematch if Only Partial Match
If all songs already matched then works like Update Metadata Only , if any songs are not matched then works like Rematch but all songs in group are rematched not just the unmatched songs. This option is the default option and is very useful if we are processing songs tagged by another tagger such as Picard that may have allowed only some songs in a grouping to be matched. By rematching the whole group we can ensure all songs are matched to the same album if possible, this is not the case if we only matched some songs in the group.
New Multiple Albums Tab Added to Incosistencies Report
When we group songs by Album Artist and Album and we have mutiple copies of the same album then multiple different versions of the same album or two different releases (maybe a single and an album) with same name will all be grouped together.
If within this grouping one of these albums have all songs matched to one MusicBrainz release, and another copy is all matched to another MusicBrainz release then the matching is probably fine and we dont want it to be considered a split album.
However, if we have multiple different versions of an album but we don’t have anything in the album field to distinguish between them then most music players will show the mutiple albums as one album. This is less then ideal so we list such cases on the new Multiple Albums tab instead of listing them under Split Albums as we did in previous releases.
