song format question

When RIPing classical songs i iTunes I notice different ways that classical song, titles and album name are formatted.

some time the title will just be the name of the song other times it will have the composer: in front of the title. Same goes with the Album. Sometimes the composer is left off.

If you look on the binder of the CD jewel case you, this is how it it listed.

What is the preferred way. I ask because I just submitted a new CD to MB.

Does it not make a difference when trying to match songs?

Robert

The http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Style Guide explains how data should be edited, but Classical Music is more complex than Pop music. There is also a Musicbrainz Style musicbrainz-style@lists.musicbrainz.org mailing list and a MusicBrainz Forum http://forums.musicbrainz.org/viewforum.php?id=1 , both are very active and you’ll get an answer to most questions very quickly

The closer a song title is in Musicbrainz to your actual metadata the better the liklihood of a good match but Jaikoz does not require exact match.
