Shift-left_click and Ctrl-left_click don't select multiple fields

I just reinstalled the Jaikoz tag editor. Now I find that shift-left_click and ctrl-left_click don’t allow me to select multiple fields within a column. These shortcuts work just fine in other programs when I am up in Linux (I have a dual-boot PC and Jaikoz works just fine under Windows).

This is not a problem with the highlight color/colour not being visible. No matter how I select and what “chord” I use, I can select only one field at a time.

I am running the latest version of the Ubuntu Studio distro and what I hope is the latest version of Java:

Hmm, thats is weird - that is the right version of Java. Works fine for me on Windows and Mac, I don’t currently have a Linux client setup to check but I’ll get that done.
