Scripter new function saving

I’m using the Scripter functionality in the latest Jaikoz on Mac OS X Intel. I’ve noticed that if I create a new function, quit the application, and open it back up that the added function is no longer present. Is there something I need to do for the functions I create to persist across sessions?

Hi, thankyou this is a bug I have replicated the issue

I am nearly ready to do a new release of Jaikoz so will get this fixed and then new version should be released within a few days.

The Functions list is shared between Scripter and Filename masks, and it does save correctly when added from within a filename mask (e.g from Edit filename mask). So a workaround is to create from here instead.

Now fixed in Jaikoz 12.4

Awesome… thanks for the quick turn around… I’m really enjoying the updated version so far… it’s been years since I’ve used it and it’s come a long way

I copied out all of the functions out my previous version, closed the application, installed the new version, opened it, added all my functions back in, closed out the application, and started it back up. None of the functions I added are present. Do I need to do something else?

Where are you adding them from Preferences:Scripter:Edit Scripter or Action:Scripter or Edit:Set Value With Scripter - just realized my fix was only for the first case, raised issue.

I was going through the Action:Scripter path. One thing I noticed this afternoon after doing some tagging and exiting was that some of the functions did save, but not all of the ones I added. I need to do some more playing around, but do you need to actually use the function before it gets saved?

No, but you need to do it via Preferences then it will be okay and I will fix the issue when doing via Action for next release.
