About a year ago I bought a Jaikoz license but I have consistently been too intimidated by the program to attempt to properly use it. In the past week I bought a new computer and I figured that if I was ever going to use the program it would be now. I’ve read through the forum but I’m afraid I cannot find an answer close enough to my situation so I do apologize if this is a repeat.
Here’s my situation: My library is ~450 gigs of mp3s. I have been very diligent in the past about correctly tagging songs but at this scale mistakes are inevitable. What I really want Jaikoz to do is a) fill in release year and label b) correctly tag compilations (specifically DJ mixes with the correct album artist and song artist) and c) fill genres. As suggested I tried running it on about 1000 songs to check the results but no matter how much I tweak the settings I am consistently running into a few problems.

Jaikoz (or much, much more likely user error) is creating an issue where the track number and number of tracks on album fields are being stripped and replaced. This results in full albums not having all of the correct track and leaving seemingly arbitrary tracks out as song [] of [].

Often after tracks have been cleared and saved by Jaikoz the different albums from the same artist will be saved to different iterations of the same artist name (that feels unclear so: When I added the songs to Jaikoz they were albums T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z by artist A and after tagging iTunes sees them as T by A; U, V by A; W by A etc.) I thought this was a function of the Sort Artist and Sort Album Artist tags but even after telling those to never populate this situation arises.

I am sure this one is just a setting I do not understand but after some songs are changed iTunes effectively adds a new version of the song and breaks the link with the old one creating two (slightly differently titled) songs one of which is not associated with an MP3.
I am sure all of these issues come from me incorrectly using the program but I would really appreciate some answers as I cannot believe the potential of this application; it’s incredible. My biggest concern is that due to the size of my library I would rather run the program overnight than add folders bit by bit while checking to make sure everything worked correctly. I am sure this is possible and I hope someone has the time to let me know what I’m missing
Thanks
