Request for profiling

Please consider adding fixing song profiles settings, if possible. Thank you

Yes, multiple profiles with different set of preferences is something we want to add. I am unsure about some aspects of this and would welcome your views.

  1. Should initial install of SongKong offer multiple ready made profiles or just the option to create new ones.
  2. Should each profile have a different set of defaults that are applied if select ‘Restore Defaults’ or just just go back to the current defaults.
  3. Should each profile be given its own user friendly name or just use the filename
  4. Should the customer be able to choose where the profile (e.g songkong1.properties) are stored or they shoud always be kept in same standard location as the current songkong.properties.

  1. The option to create new ones would be perfectly fine for me. A beginner though may appreciate some pre made examples maybe?
  2. No need to restore to a profile default. General “factory” defaults (per tab) would be just fine for me.
  3. I think it would be best to have each profile with it’s own friendly name and file. It would be much easier to locate and manage, like modify, backup and restore.
  4. I think each profile should be in a standard location. Much easier for all to remember and manage.
