Rename files after updating matched result

Hi Paul,

I can’t seem to rename files that have previously matched by Songkong but have updated the information.

For example

1 Songkong found a match to an album.
2 Using other metadata app, update the Album Artist information
3 Run Songkong ONLY to rename the files based on the (updated) album artist metadata (no more matching, only read the metadata and rename the files)

It’s either Songkong reverts back the metadata to its matched values or the album does not get processed.

Is there any way that I can do this?

We don’t currently have a separate Rename Only task but I think you can make this happen by disabling Search for a MusicBrainz Match, Search for a Disocgs Match and Update from Discogs Match on the Match tab and then running Fix Songs.

Hi Paul,

Yes, this is exactly what I have for rename only.
However, this only works for those files that either:

  1. Have not been processed by Songkong, or
  2. Have been processed by songkong and did not get matched

Okay, instead try adding renabling Search for a MusicBrainz but add all fields to

Format:Never Modify or Add these Fields and
