Remove and replace artwork to be consistent?

I’m a fairly new user. Bought the full version a month or so ago, then after seeing the process and how it works, went to the Pro version in order to process my entire collection of just over 30,000 tracks.

One issue I can’t seem to figure out is how to consolidate, or reduce the artwork to the same image for each track within an album group.

I have a number of tracks that have more than one entry for artwork, some of the tracks have the same image multiple times, some have multiple entries of different artwork.

I’ve included a screen shot of a small portion where there are still multiples AFTER running Jaikoz tagger on them.

Is there a way to remove all the artwork, then re-tag them to the correct image, and only one image per track? I’d like to do this for consistency sake, to reduce the size of the database where ever possible, and to satisfy my overly powerful OCD complex about it.

Any ideas?

If you just right-click on the Artwork column header and select Empty Column you can clear out all the artwork, then if you do Remote Correct:Update Metadata from MusicBrainz that will re-add artwork from MusicBrainz that should make things consistent.

The only trouble is that you may delete some artwork that MusicBrainz cannot add back in because MusicBrainz does not have artwork for that release

so a sensible thing to do would be the following:

Load files into Jaikoz
Close files that do not have artwork
Use Empty Column to remove the Artwork
Update Metadata from MusicBrainz to fix the data
Sort songs by artwork column
Any songs that don’t have artwork (but previously did) right click and close so we dont lose their artwork.
Save changes to save the artwork changes.
