I found that Jaikoz is really slow if there is a lot of files in one directory tree (i.e.
mymusic/trees…)
So I tried:
mymusic/
mymusic1/
mymusic2/
mymusic3/
And it runs faster when I fun it at different times on directory trees.
I know have a external drive large enough for all songs. Is this solution also a solutions as well?
Usually users have one album = one folder. If you have many songs from lots of albums directly in one folder then it’s so much harder to match them, in fact some guesses have to be made since same song can be on multiple albums.
So yes it will take longer, best to leave it to finish, and then rename files from metadata so they are organised into album artist/album folders.
