Reason for songs not to match Discogs Database?

Hi,

I wonder if you can help.

I have a set of CDs which most match with Discogs, but some CDs don’t, though the track list is the same. I have compared the track names and they both seem to match…? What reason does song kong not match the release?

Is there a way to fix this?

My list in the folder ‘GSCD 082 Modern Soul Vol. 6’

HI, please try again then send me your support files (Help:Create Support Files) I cannot tell just by looking at this tracklist.

Hi, its because you have the release name as gscd 082 modern soul vol.6 based on the folder name (i assume the actual songs have no metadata) but in Discogs gscd 82 is the label the release title is just Modern Soul Volume 6 . SongKong does fuzzy matching such as matching Vol - Volume but because it could not find any match for gscd 082 in the release title it failed to find a match.

Remember:

  1. Only Musicbrainz matching can do acoustid matching and this release does not appear to be in MusicBrainz)
  2. Discogs currently only does full release matching not single song matching although I plan to change this.
