Re-tagging existing files but leaving the "Title" tag unchanged?

Hi all

Is there any way to re-tag already partially tagged mp3 files using the auto correct feature leaving the “Title” tag unchanged when saving them?

The only reason I ask is that in the past I have spent many hours removing the “The” word before all my names of my artists and bands in the “Title” tags and would prefer not to have to do it again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if you mean Title or Artist tag, but you can prevent any field being modified by adding it to Preferences:MusicBrainz:Format:Modify this field if Empty and Preferences:Remote Correct:Discogs:Only Modify this field if Empty
