Re: Are Foreign Characters/Letters Undisplayable Characters/Letters?

I have some original-from-Japan CD’s that I have in my music collection as MP3’s, and their song information (song title, artist name, etc.) is written in Japanese characters.

Worried about Jaikoz getting rid of the Japanese characters, should I uncheck the “Remove Undisplayable Characters” box under the different fields (“Artist Settings…,” “Album Settings…,” etc.) under the “Local Correct Settings…” under the “Action Settings” from the Jaikoz main menu’s toolbar?

Basically, I am worried that if I have the “Remove Undisplayable Characters” box checked, it will get rid of the Japnaese characters. Should I be worried about this?

So, should I have the “Remove Undisplayable Characters” box checked or not?

-Thanks

P.S.: I know that Jaikoz is written in Unicode, meaning that all letters/characters, including foreign ones, are displayable, but I’m still worried about this.

You’ve answered your own question, Undisplayable characters are unicode characters that do not map to a displayable character, for example null character, this should not remove your Japanese characters.
