Quick Start

Hi Everyone…

So my files are a mess and I’m using Jaikoz for the first time. I have about 17,000 songs and I want to do a quick start and start tagging all of this music.

I would click the open folder get to my music and highlight about 1000 to 5000 songs then click auto correct. After that’s done then click music IP button, after that the correct from music brainz button. Then save it and do it all over with the next 1000 songs??? Until I’ve done my library???

Thats right, but you may struggle to load all 17,000 files in one go because of the memory required. It would be better to just load in batches of 5000 then you dont have select records, you can just process all the ones loaded. (When you select folders to load, you can select multiple folders).

Thank you Paul…and thanks for the quick responses!

I had one more question…I’ve started tagged my muisc in 500 song increments. What I’m seeing in my playlists is each batch of songs that I tag. Do I need to have these sitting in my playlists like that or can I delete them from the playlists?

Thanks,

Rick

You are talking about the iTunes playlists. No those playlists are only created to let you know what files Jaikoz has tried to update in iTunes. You dont have to create them at all if you dont want, just uncheck the following option.

‘Preferences/Save/iTunes AutoUpdate/Create an iTunes playlist of all tracks added or updated by Jaikoz’
