Sorry for my amount of wishes
The ability of Jaikoz for loading the iTunes XML library file, and let you do a spotlight-like search, then edit, save, and here you go would be handy as well. What do you think?

Do you mean edit the XML file, because this would be pointless because iTunes doesnt use this file it uses the iTunes Library file within iTunes, it then updates the iTunes Music libarary.XML file periodically for the benefit of other applications. The current version of Jaikoz does update the iTunes Library file when saving changes anyway, although Im aware its not 100% perfect yet.
Good to know :). No, i meant, search from within the iTunes library, so it woulnt be necessary to dive into the hard disk structure for loading the files, i dont know if i can explain myself well…
Oh you mean ‘Load Files from itunes database that meet this search criteria’ . Obviously its iTunes specific, I dont think for the effort involved it adds much to just searching within iTunes or Finder and then dragging the files to Jaikoz (next release)
Yeah, exactly. You are right, with drag and drop support, it wouldn’t be necessary.
I can’t seem to drag & drop from iTunes (7.6.1) directly into Jaikoz (2.3.0), though I had no problem dropping from the finder. A green plus sign appears when I drag song titles over the Jaikoz window, but nothing gets opened. It does work when I drag from iTunes to the desktop and then from the desktop into Jaikoz. Any suggestions? Using Mac OSX 10.4.11 on an old PowerBook.
Marc.
I wondered when this would come up !
I delayed the release by two days to try and fix this but it appears there is a bug specific to Apples version of Java and iTunes. As you’ve discovered it works fine dragging from iTunes to Finder , and Finder to Jaikoz. On Windows iTunes direct to Jaikoz also works. Ive raised a bug with Apple and Im waiting for my new Mac with 10.5 on it so I can see if the problem still persists.
