problem with album artist

I don’t understand how the “album artist” field is treated. When opening the same FLAC files in tag&rename or tagscanner, I see for some songs a value being entered in this field. This is the value that my 2 music servers are also reading. However, when trying to read the same file in Jaikoz, I see an empty field!
Jaikoz is getting useless for me if I cannot update the fields that my 2 music servers are using (Aurender and another PC based server using Jriver)

In summary Jaikoz writes to the ALBUMARTIST field whereas JRIVER writes to the ALBUM_ARTIST field. Jaikoz ignores the ALBUM_ARTIST field, JRiver will read the ALBUMARTIST field but only if there is no ALBUM_ARTIST field.

I’ll have to think about the best way to solve this, but a workaround might be as follows.

  1. Open all Flac files in JRiver
  2. Empty the Album Artist field
  3. Fix Album Artist in Jaikoz (Could use Update Metadata from MusicBrainz/Discogs for tracks already automatched)
  4. Save
  5. Now when open files in JRiver should read the ALBUMARTIST field.

I assume TagScanner will do the same
