Problem Starting Jaikoz

Hi, I just downloaded a new verson of Jaikoz, but now I have issue starting the program. It would not start and the following error message appears:

Unable to Start Jaikoz:
java.sql.BatchUpdateException: Table/View ‘PUID’ does not exist.

Could you help me fix that please?

Thanks.

Regards,

Oleg

Please see issue 1 at http://www.jthink.net/jaikozforum/posts/list/1246.page for solution.

Thanks. It works ok now!

Same problem but there is no file in my mac!

New user Mac…

I have read the page:

Quote
"1. I’ve just upgraded Jaikoz and now getting "Unable to Start Jaikoz: ‘java.sql.BatchUpdateException: Table/View ‘ARTWORK’ does not exist’ or ‘java.sql.BatchUpdateException: Table/View ‘PUID’ does not exist’

Sometimes when upgrading from an older version of Jaikoz to a new version with a different database the database doesn’t get updated correctly. If you hit this problem you just need to remove the database (the database is only there for performance/caching reasons it doesnt store anything information not held in the songs themselves or available from the Musicbrainz webservice).

OSX
Go to Home : Library : Preferences : Jaikoz
Delete jaikozdb
Start Jaikoz"

In my mac no such file exists in that place or another for that reason.
But my problem still exists.

Very dissapointed on this program…

Check the section marked OSXLion, from Lion onwards Apple made a change to make it more difficult to find your preferences.

Hi,
After updating Jaikoz, unistalling it and reinstalling it several times I’m at my wits end… I’ve searched the forum only to find suggestions to remove jaikozdb, however I’ve search my entire computer and cannot locate this file/folder. Please help. Thanks!

I’m runnning Win 7, SP3.

It maybe a hidden file, within Windows Explorer, go to File and Folder Options and enable

Hidden Files and Folders/Show Hidden Files, folders, or drives

It might not even be the problem, what error are you actually getting ?

Error Message reads: Application could not start because it could not find file MSVCR100.dll, however when I search for a copy and add it to the folder and try to start the app nothing happens.

When I uninstall and re-install, same result…

I think you need to reinstall Java

Thanks Paul! Reinstalling Java worked!
