Hi Paul,
Been enjoying Jaikoz for quite a while and it’s been a huge help going through my large library.
Even when the auto match doesn’t work, usually I can find a match in Musicbrainz and manually use the MBID to match the tracks.
I’m running into a couple of issues recently where it seems like the tracks should match (correct disc numbers, correct number of tracks) but it gives a “unable to find suitable release” error.
I am using the “Match songs to specified Musicbrainz album” option.
example is 1) MBID 0d000068-7d24-4f38-9985-9591384dbb12
Beethoven String Quartets 8 discs by Tokyo string quartet. Correct 71 tracks. Refuses to match.
second example is MBID ed0fede4-ffdc-449f-9f7e-2eeb4ab91ead
This is Fidelio by LSO and Colin Davis. This one is less straightforward as the MB discs are listed multiple times by SACD vs CD layer, and i am only matching to the SACD DSF tracks.
Any thoughts? I will submit a report.
One more thought. When I do an auto match and the match fails, but says “3 possible releases to check” - is it reasonable to have a link or option where the 3 possible releases are listed for us to manually pick? As it is the message is of no help as I cannot see or do anything with the “3 possible releases” etc.
